Ladies for life tea
a success!
Pro-Life Green Bay hosted our inaugural Ladies for Life Tea fundraising event on Saturday, May 8th 2021 at Life Bridge Christian Church in Green Bay.
Donning spring dresses & hats, ladies enjoyed tea, desserts, and finger sandwiches as they listened inspiring pro-life stories from women in the Green Bay community - each sharing their experience of an unplanned pregnancy. Over 25 local volunteers served as childcare workers and waitstaff to bless the ladies attending the event.
The goal of our Ladies for Life Tea was to introduce area women to Pro-Life Green Bay as well as encourage & inspire them to become more active in their pro-life convictions. Since our ministry’s inception, we have been making contacts with adoption agencies and community programs, looking for ways to provide support wherever these organizations saw need. It became evident that material items like gift cards, journals, and personal items go a long way in showing a woman in crisis that she is valued and loved. We began researching different types of care packages & love bags that could be created, and even though our Tea Planning was already underway, we felt God leading us to turn this event into a fundraiser to finance these care packages.
As Pro-Life Green Bay’s name slowly began spreading across Titletown, God brought us a local couple who are in the process of starting their own non-profit, Hearts are Tied, an organization working to create care packages for birth moms delivering at local hospitals! We are thrilled to partner with them and be able to provide items to moms and women in our community who are often overlooked.
Over 47 local businesses donated to our incredible silent auction, which raised over $6,000 towards creating care packages for women placing their children for adoption & love bags for moms in crisis situations. PRAISE GOD!
Lord willing, we plan to host another Ladies for Life Tea in the future - so check back!
